At Khan Academy Kids, your child will learn how to match, draw, and explore through a series of short, animated activities. Each activity has a focus on literacy and numeracy and is with the help of adorable animal characters. In this activity, write down with your child ten new sight words he is learning at school, then visit the app to work on his spelling.
Getting Started: Download Khan Kids on iOS, Android or Amazon, and create an account. Then, tap on the Library in the top left corner and click on Spelling Words under Words.
Learn: Explore reading, spelling, language, writing, math and problem-solving activities.
Do: Have your child complete the Word activities. Does he sight the new words he’s learning in school?
Share: Have your child write down the new words he learned in the app, and practice reading again his familiar sight words. Return to the app! What does he want to explore next?
